The Best Gluten Free Waffles

Simple almond flour along with honey and coconut oil give these waffles a delightful flavor, no one will care that they are gluten free.

  • 2 cups almond flour, good quality
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut flour, optional
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites


  • Preheat your waffle iron.
  • In a medium bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, chia seeds, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Whisk to combine.
  • Add vanilla, honey, coconut oil and egg yolks and mix well. You will have a thick batter.
  • Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form, then stir into almond flour mixture and continue stirring until completely mixed, about 1 minute.
  • Pour batter into preheated waffle iron and bake until deep golden brown.
  • Top with your favorite waffle toppings.
  • This recipe makes two 8-inch waffles.
