Ultimate Greek 7-Layer Dip

This colorful Greek 7 Layer Dip is loaded with creamy hummus, seasoned cream cheese, fresh vegetables, feta, and olives. It's an easy make-ahead appetizer that's perfect for parties, potlucks, holidays, or anytime you need a crowd-pleasing snack.

  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese or yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and oregano . Stir until completely mixed. If using grated cheese, mix ½ cup into this layer as well. Spread into bottom of a pie plate or shallow baking dish of approximate size.
    8 ounces cream cheese, Juice from ½ lemon, 3 cloves garlic, 1 tsp dried oregano, ½ cup mozzarella
  • Spread hummus next.
    8 ounces hummus

Layer in this order:

  • 1 diced cucumber, 2 diced tomatoes, ½ cup olives, 4 chopped onions, ½ cup Feta and ¼ cup basil or parsley.
    1 medium cucumber, 2 Roma tomatoes, ½ cup kalamata olives, 4 green onions, ½ cup feta cheese, ¼ cup fresh basil
  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Serve with any combination of the following: Pita chips, fresh vegetables, cut flour tortillas, flatbread or naan.

Notes

  • Pat cucumbers and tomatoes dry before layering to keep the dip from becoming watery.
  • Full-fat Greek yogurt may be substituted for cream cheese.
  • Refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving for the best flavor.
  • Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
